Here is what’s happening in the Twin Cities this weekend.
Minneapolis Street Art Festival
This weekend, don't miss the Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival, a free, family-friendly event celebrating street art in all its forms.
Where: Nicollet Mall between 6th and 11th Streets.
When:The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11, 2024.
What to Expect
- Live Art: Watch live spray painting and chalk art by local and international artists, including 3D chalk art installations by Shawn McCann at the IDS Center.
- Interactive Activities: Participate in art activities like the community chalk mandala, and the WOW Mobile Metal Lab, where you can create your own pewter artifacts.
- Performances: Enjoy music and dance performances from Heart & Soul Drum Academy, zAmya Theater, and the Street Show featuring local talent.
- Shopping: Browse the Indie Artisan Fair curated by Jackalope Arts, featuring over 100 local artisans offering unique fashion, jewelry, home decor, and more.
- Food: There will be a variety of local food trucks and vendors.

Road Trip: Minnesota Garlic Festival 🧄
Up for a little road trip? Make the roughly one hour drive to Hutchinson for Minnesota’s premier garlic festival.
What To Expect: celebrity chefs, craft beer, garlic growing contest, music, chef demonstrations, and lots of garlic.
When: August 10th, 10am - 5pm
