When: August 22nd - September 2nd. Gates open at 7am most days.

The Food:
❯ Make sure to check out the list of new foods which include deep fried ranch dressing, dill pickle tots, and sweet corn cola floats.

Fair On A Budget — Free Stuff!
It can be pretty easy to spend quite a bit of money at the state fair, so if you’re looking for free options to help ease the strain on your wallet, we have you covered.
❯ Buy a Blue Ribbon Bargain Book for $5 — there are a number of deals that will pay for the book with just one use. If you’re going with other people, you can split the coupon book.
❯ Free activities: visit the many different animals being shown, watch the 4-H Llama-Alpaca Costume Competition, compete in a wine tasting quiz, or watch the daily parade.

If you’re not too busy stuffing yourself at the Great Minnesota Get-Together, then check out these new restaurant openings in the Twin Cities.
❯ Tender Lovin’ Chix: Lyndale Avenue’s latest restaurant, launched by food truck owner Marques “Ques” Johnson and Billy Tserenbat (known for Billy Sushi), features Johnson’s well-loved chicken tenders, Tokyo fried rice, and other chicken specialties such as basil chicken and chicken bulgogi, alongside a full bar serving sake. ❯ Lynette: This new neighborhood bistro in the former Riverview Cafe space in Longfellow pays tribute to the beloved Lyn65 restaurant in Richfield. The menu features dishes like a quiche Lorraine with caramelized shallots and broccoli, a BLT loaded with thick-cut cured bacon, salted chocolate chip cookies, and jammy apple turnovers. More Info.
❯ Black Duck: Chef Jason Sawicki of the Fare Game food truck has opened a permanent restaurant specializing in wood-fired cooking "from the hearth." The menu showcases expertly crafted meat-and-potato dishes, whole fish, creatively prepared pierogies with changing flavors, and raw offerings like oysters and tartare. More Info

Must See: Minnesota Lynx vs Indiana Fever 🏀
❯ Caitlin Clark is coming back to the Target Center with an Indiana Fever team that is riding a two game winning streak. Meanwhile, the Lynx are the best team in the Western Conference.
❯ The game is on Saturday and you can still get tickets starting at $39.
❯ The Lynx will be retiring Maya Moore’s jersey during the game on Saturday.
