TWIN CITIES WEEKEND PREVIEW — KEEPING YOU BUSY ✔

Today is March 28th

Here is what’s going on in the Twin Cities this weekend.

Baseball is Back! ⚾⚾

⚾ Baseball is back! The Twins are on the road for their opening series against the Kansas City Royals (season preview in tomorrow’s newsletter). But, if you’re willing to brave the cold, the Saint Paul Saints will be in town this weekend and the first 2,000 fans at the games on Friday and Saturday will receive Saints hoodie.

📅 Be sure to check out the full Saints promotion schedule — they’re known for their unique activities and giveaways. Notable promotions include: Taylor Swift night, an attempt at breaking the mascot hugging world record, 2 for 1 beers, bring your dog to the ballpark, Irish night, and Special Olympics night.

📽 And if you’re wondering where this culture of fun came from, you should watch the Netflix documentary called “The Saint of Second Chances” which chronicles how the team got started.

🌭 If you’re more into the food than the action happening on the field, you’re in luck. The Saints are rolling out a number of new items at CHS Field including a foot-long hot dog, jalapeno poppers, meatball marinara hoagie, and churros. REad about all of the new menu items here (possible paywall)

Spring 🌷

I know we just had a brutal snowstorm, but spring is not far off (knock on wood). Get in the springtime mood by visiting the Galleria in Edina which is currently putting on a “floral experience” in partnership with Bachman’s.

More than 100 different types of flowers, trees, and plants are part of the display designed by landscape architect Bryan Kramer.

Check out this story from WCCO covering the event.

🌺 TRIVIA: This flower symbolizes "beauty" and "inner strength." It also happens to be the city flower for Seattle.
