Here is what’s happening in the Twin Cities this weekend.

Fall Color Viewing Guide 🍁

According to the DNR Fall Color Tracker, peak colors will be happening in the Twin Cities in the next 10 days. There are plenty of places to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the Twin Cities area and Greater Minnesota.

Twin Cities Fall Color Guide

🍁 Afton State Park features over 20 miles of trails that wind through forests, prairies, and along the St. Croix River. There are a number of easy hikes to several scenic overlooks to view the river valley. Learn more here.

🍁 Lake Maria State Park is located near Monticello and offers 28 miles of trails for hiking. The park is home to several lakes with opportunities for canoe and kayak rentals. Learn more here.

🍁 Interstate State Park (my personal favorite) has 14 miles of trails that showcase unique geological formations along the St. Croix River. The park is popular for hiking, rock climbing, and viewing the scenic overlooks that provide great views of the river valley. Learn more here.

🍁 Willow River State Park features 10 miles of trails that lead to picturesque waterfalls and scenic overlooks. Learn more here.

🍁 William O’Brien State Park offers 12 miles of trails that meander through woodlands and along the banks of the St. Croix River. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the park center. Learn more here.

Road Trip To Greater Minnesota

If you have time in the next few weeks, there are plenty of incredible parks within 2-3 hours of the Twin Cities that offer great hiking and incredible foliage viewing. Listed below are some of my personal favorites.
